Chef Gianluca Pardini was born in Italy and began his culinary career in Tuscany at a very young age. At only 21 years old he was already working in the only Italian restaurant in Orléans (France). This experience opened international doors for him, which eventually brought him to Japan as a gastronomic consultant. Shortly after his return to Italy, he opened his own restaurant in Lucca.
Since 1998 Pardini has dedicated himself to teaching the art of Italian cuisine in his “International School of Italian Cuisine” which he opened in Siena, and is now in Lucca. Gianluca has also trained students as chefs in major cities throughout Europe, Japan and the United States. In particular, he has been recognized as an honorary teacher at the Chicago College of Du Page and is an honorary member of the Chicago Chefs Association as well as “Les Amis d’Escoffier Society of Chicago”.
In 2004, the Italian Cuisine Federation proclaimed Pardini “Master of Cuisine and Executive Chef”, one of only four chefs in Tuscany to receive this honor.
In 2009 he was awarded the “Francesco Corpora” award for his long experience and activity in the field of Italian cuisine. In the same year the Association of Citizens of the World in Lucca recognized Pardini with the title “Foreigners who excelled in Lucca”.
Even if he is not a foreigner in Lucca, the organization has rewarded his contribution in promoting the city of art Lucca and Italian cuisine in the world. He is rightly proud of his popularity as a teacher and, thanks to his background and experience, is particularly qualified in his position as an international ambassador of Italian cuisine.
